Caressing your ancient city walls
Faintly I can smell
The smoke of the year
As if I can see
Genghis khan whipping
Walk into Yuanshangdu
Luckily Yuan bricks are still here
Golden lotus always smiles
Golden drum in the Golden Temple
Is knocking on the classic of ages
Walk into Yuanshangdu
Brave knights and fierce horses gallop thousands of miles
Crystal clear river water
The scenery of nature is refreshing

Grassland I love thee
Love thee the endless green
It is a flowing scroll of life
It is a symbol of spring
Grassland I love thee
Love thy colourful flowers
Love thy broad mind
But I more love thy noble quality
Grassland I love thee
Love thy fragrance
When the fragrance of flowers pervades the whole world
I follow the passage of the fragrance
Looking for the poetry of flowers
I love the sheep in the prairie
From a distance, it seems to be scattered in
Pearls on green grass
Like white clouds floating over the green grass
Grassland I love thee
Love every inch of thy land
Love thy blue sky, white clouds and fresh air
But I more love the people on grassland
No matter how far away I am
Prairie is always in my heart

任诚刚，英语教授。1989年毕业于美国康科迪亚大学。系威斯康星大学研究生、旅居美国十四年。1998年回国在云南农业大学外语学院担任教学与测试室主任、云南省翻译工作者协会理事、研究生高级文学翻译等课程教学。发表论文50余篇。出版《韵译天安门诗抄100首》《英韵周恩来朱德及陈毅诗选五十首》等译著。
Ren Chenggang，professor of English, graduated from Concordia University US in 1989. He was a graduate student in University of Wisconsin and lived in the United States for 14 years. In 1998, he returned to China and worked at the College of Foreign Languages, Yunnan Agricultural University, serving as the director of the Teaching and Testing Office and is a council member of the Yunnan Translators Association. Teaching Advanced Lilterary Translation and other courses. He has published more than 50 papers. Translation books as rhymed versions of 100 Poems of Tiananmen and 50 selected poems by Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and Chen Yi etc.
