香港吴任先生是一位极具“辨识度”的书家，他的这种“辨识度”体现在三个方面：一是外在形貌甚是奇特，高头大马，面容饱满，精神抖擞，黑发飘飘，很小有银丝出现，看上去颇有一种仙风道骨，使人一望而印象至深。二是书法方面造诣独到，楷隶行草擅名具佳，风格独具，功力精湛，观之便觉有一派正大气象，使人眼前一亮而过目不忘，作品貌似优胜于费新我之作。三是其艺术修养全面，创作与理论相结合，见识广博，学养丰厚，见解独到。观其书而阅其文，知其心而获其益，使人如对高人胜士，不觉精神为之一振，不忍释卷矣！平心而论，在当代书坛中，能够给我留下如此印象者，委实不多见也。这恐怕是只有在心灵和思想产生共鸣之时才能有的独特感受吧。吴任先生尽管在印象当中是以风格独具的楷隶晋草成名于当代立足于书坛的，但实际上他是擅长多种书体的全能，隶和晋草书方面亦到最高造诣。只不过，与其它书体相比起来，各有千所 ，显然独霸一方，那种体感当今时代不多见 ，据我感语，这就是吴任先生艺术成就最高点，影响最大，已形成了一整套自己的独具个性化的艺术体系，与古今成名家区别开来，当就化于一家之法，一家之强的艺术至高价值观。
