Bilingual Poem: Water lily

一 

夜幕下 你安详地合拢眼睛 

梦里数着星星 念着千年的佛经 

At night your eyes closed so quietly 

Counting stars in the dream 

Repeating sutra of thousands of year 

二 

夜露在你脸上 留下了羞涩 

月光在你的脚下投出了你微笑的侧影 

Dews on your face leave shyness 

The moonlight at your feet casts a shadow 

Of your smile 

三 

风作你轻轻的摇篮 

你把一夜的香甜 开向阳光下的蓝天 

The wind as your soft cradle 

You bloom to the azure sky under the sun 

With a night of fragrance 

四 

一张张红脸 点燃夏季的晨曦 

一张张白脸 绽开佛殿的圣坛 

One and one pieces of red faced light the dawn of summer 

One and one pieces of white faces burst the holy altar 

五 

绿叶捧着你 禅坐一生一世 

在青蛙的吵杂声中修炼静功 

Held by green leaves you meditate for the lifetime 

And in frogs’ noise you cultivate your vital mind 

六 

一身洁白 水中的雪莲 

度过漫长的黑夜 迎来灿烂的白天 

In pure white, you as the snow lotus on water 

Get through long nights to meet a bright day 

七 

喜欢幽静而不张扬 

用一颗纯洁的心 

告诫你做人的清白与干净 

You like quiet and dislike over-showy 

With a clean and honest heart 

Admonish that man should be purified

不是因为我喜欢睡觉 

那是因为你还没能深入知道 

在夜里 我会静静地审视白天的喧闹 

Not because I like to sleep 

But because you have not realized my innermost heart

During night I will quietly survey the day's hubbub 

九 

永远守住一颗寂寞的心 

无论风雨来袭 黑夜漫长 

莲为禅心 度苦海 求众生 

You hold a lonely heart forever 

Whatever storms and darkness last long 

You, as lotus contemplation, will go through bitterness for love of all living creatures.
