刊首语
历时一月有余的第一期英文诗翻译中文诗竞赛（以下简称译诗赛）终于落下帷幕，经过评审黑子老师（美籍华人林文彤）的认真评审，已落实了各个奖项，总体而言，每首译文各有千秋，不相上下，让这项具有开拓意义的竞赛具有特殊意义，希望以后有更多诗友参加，打开当代主流诗歌的窗口，并从中学习受益。

评审者简介：黑子，原名林文彤，原籍福州，现定居美国，兴趣诗歌和诗歌翻译。作品散见于《诗刊》，《北京诗刊》，《中外诗人》，《WePoetry》，《昆仑文学》，《华人头条》， 《乐诗中西》, 《风吟诗歌》等刊物。
关于举办第一期英文诗翻译中文诗的竞赛通知
五四以来，随着新文化运动的风起云涌，大量国外诗歌介绍到中国，滋养了一代又一代现代诗人，基于此，江南风诗社海外诗社举办第一期英文诗翻译中文诗竞赛，希望诗友们积极参加。
设立奖项：设一等奖一个，80元，二等奖二个，50元，三等奖三个，30元，优秀奖八个，10元。
本竞赛由中国大陆"古洞春"茶农业集团公司独家赞助，特此致以崇高谢意！

May Day
They go, the early flags, the gory maples—
so too the daffodils & Lenten roses.
Other petals swirl & nights warm.
Buds thicken and cast shadows:
in a thunderstorm
I almost forget the ice that was.
Narcissi suckle watery paths;
meadows heap up emerald masses.
How green & I want to delight
except this undertow—it pulls so fast
passing before I recognize it—
like souls in Dante who can’t see the present,
white lilacs curdle in pre-summer heat.
The parade I barely noticed was beginning
is already halfway down the street.
Tess Taylor is an American poet. Her poems have received wide national and international acclaim. Taylor’s poems and nonfiction have appeared in The Atlantic, Boston Review, Harvard Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, The Times Literary Supplement, Travel & Leisure, and other publications. In recent years, Taylor has received fellowships from Harvard’s Woodberry Poetry Room, the MacDowell Colony, the MARBL archive at Emory University, the Headlands Center for the Arts, and the International Center for Jefferson Studies.
苔丝·泰勒是美国诗人。她的诗歌受到了全国和国际的广泛赞誉。泰勒的诗歌和非小说作品曾出现在“大西洋月刊”、“波士顿评论”、“哈佛评论”、“弗吉尼亚季刊”、“泰晤士报文学补编”、“旅行与休闲”等刊物上。近年来，泰勒获得了哈佛大学伍德伯里诗歌室、麦克道尔殖民地、埃默里大学MARBL档案馆、海德兰艺术中心和杰斐逊国际研究中心的奖学金。
