宋天锡，生于1942年，英语教授。曾先后在《中国大博览》任英文总编审，在高等教育出版社任特聘编辑，在北京理工大学珠海学院外国语学院任院长。出版《翻译新概念 英汉互译实用教程》等专著和教材10余部，出版长篇小说《校园丐帮》，发表一些学术论文。

碧落衬白云，秋空格外新。

时或丝带状，疑是仙女巾。

时或朵朵棉，遙望白鹤身。

又呈五线谱，翠袖瑤琴音。

Song of the Autumn Sky

The fresh and crystal azure excels itself in autumn,

Adorned with spotlessly and flawlessly white clouds.

Cloudlets look like silk ribbons awhile in beautiful form,

Strongly resembling the fairies’ holy and pure scarfs.

Then like some white cranes enjoying their freedom,

They re-form here and there into cotton-white dots.

Now appears a staff adding a peculiar charm,

Sweet music as really from a qin①a belle plays.
