自第9期的《爱》和第17期的《入藏的路》刊登后，一直没得空把这个“边疆三部曲”完成。这次的石河子小作倒是及时，一并发布了。

天山北麓

有一幅神奇的画

几十年了

还在伸展... 

灰黄的底色

由漫天的沙尘组成

唯有玄奘那样的信念

方敢穿越... 

最早的画手

是些粗手大脚的汉子

不知来自何方

扎下了

涂上了第一笔

他们的画室

寸草难生

风沙  严寒或酷热

每天扑面而来

他们的家

就是地上那些个土坑

当地称为“地窝子”... 

记得那日老排长成婚

大伙特地腾出一个地窝

扫得干干净净... 

可没几天

他又爬了出来

说看不得大伙挤着

新婚的妻子

又搬回去跟女生们住了

啊  难以想象的年代...

这幅画  

画了几十年

近一半已经绿了

听说某个卫星一直在观察

变迁  让世界震惊了

这儿的人都干了些什么？

... 

其实没什么

他们只是用青春

画了一幅人间最美的画... 

Shi He Zi

North of Tianshan mountains, 

There rolls out a miraculous landscape. 

Several decades now, 

Still expanding... 

That greyish base color

Is made of sandstorm over the sky.

Only the most tenacious like Xuan Zhuang, 

Would dare to brave through. 

The earliest painters, 

Were those men with big rough hands. 

Not sure where from, 

But they settled down

And began the first stroke. 

Their giant studio, 

Was the barren land with nothing growing. 

Vast desert, severe coldness and unbearable heat, 

Were their daily coexistence. 

Their homes were those pits on the ground, 

Locally called "Di Wo Zi". 

That day when the platoon leader got married, 

Others all moved out to make room,

Meticulously cleaned. 

Yet in a few days, 

he climbed out, 

Couldn't stand the other's in crowded space. 

And the newly wed wife moved back with other girls. 

What an unbelievable era! 

This painting, 

Already decades in making, 

Almost half become green. 

A mysterious satellite has been monitoring, 

And world is shocked. 

What on earth have these guys been doing?

... 

Not much, 

They just devoted their youth, 

To the most gorgeous painting the mankind has ever seen.
