2021.8.13William Marr's bilingual poem SOMETIMES YOU appeared in Chicago Chinese News, 2021.8.13
SOMETIMES YOU
Sometimes you pull down the curtains
and make your face a tall window
aloof
far from the ground
shutting out the sunshine
shutting out laughter
shutting out all concerned gazes
Though my courting days are long past
all night I wander beneath your window
hoping to catch, in the thick of the curtains
a glimpse of your eyes
like the flickering stars
behind heavy clouds
