第三十五章

执大象，天下往。往而不害，安平太。乐与饵，过客止，道之出口，淡乎其无味，视之不足见，听之不足闻，用之不足既。

Chapter 35

Once mastering the great Tao, the ruler would be followed by everyone. These followers would be harmless to each other, and hence everyone would live peacefully together. A passersby often stops for music and foods, and yet may find Tao plain and tasteless when being recited. It’s difficult to see and hear, but its usefulness is unlimited. 

第三十六章

将欲歙之，必固张之；将欲弱之，必固强之；将欲废之，必固兴之；将欲取之，必固与之。是谓微明，柔弱胜刚强。鱼不可脱于渊，国之利器不可以示人。

Chapter 36

Let it inflate if you intend to capture it; let it strengthen if you intend to weaken it; let it grow if you intend to destroy it; let it be endowed if you intend to take it. It is very clear and subtle that the weak and the soft can conquer the hard and the strong. Like a fish can't leave the pond, a country's governing system shouldn't be implemented casually. 

第三十七章

道常无为而无不为。候王若能守之，万物将自化。化而欲作，吾将镇之以无名之朴，镇之以无名之朴，夫将不欲。不欲以静，天下将自定。

Chapter 37

The Tao may seem doing nothing, yet doing everything. Should a ruler uphold it, everything will take care of itself. I'll control it with the simple way of Tao should there be excess of desires. The Tao's way would reduce one’s desires, and a diminished desire will lead to calmness, and then stability will restore by itself.
