She has stolen my heart away
Translated by Fenglei
In the sky the wispy clouds float light,
On the ground a breeze passes with delight.
In my hair I feel the breeze gently play,
O she has stolen my heart away.
The ocean loves the glow of moonlight,
Together they make a perfect night.
The sweet silver evening must stay,
O she has stolen my heart away.
On the river flower petals flow,
In the water fish swim to and fro.
I wish to know what the swallows say,
O she has stolen my heart away.
A dead tree quivers as the wind blows,
The twilight sees a few bushfires glow.
The pink clouds in the west end the day,
O she has stolen my heart away.
How Could My Mind Escape from Her
Translated by Chen Qingqiao
Thin clouds, in the sky, floating,
Gentle breeze, over the ground, breathing.
O, in the soft wind my hair stirs,
How could my mind escape from her?
The moonlight is in love with the ocean,
The ocean echoes with the same emotion.
O, in the honey night with the glint of silver,
How could my mind escape from her?
Fallen flowers, on the surface, drifting,
Golden fish, in the depths, wandering.
O, what are you whispering, swallow, my lovely singer?
How could my mind escape from her?
Withered trees, in the wind, shivering.
Wild fire, at dusk, burning.
O, in the sky the afterglow lingers,
How could my mind escape from her?
