吐司和小米粥

我拿惯筷子的手
用钝刀把油润和甜蜜
涂满两面烤焦的日子
吃了裹腹
娘拿惯锄头的手
用村头小河的水
把田里的收获文火慢煮
喝了养心
岁月在吐司和小米粥间
穿
梭
烤在那头
热在这头
Toast and Millet Porridge

Accustomed to chopsticks
I use a butter knife to put the oily
and the sweet on the days I toil day and night
just to get by
Accustomed to a hoe
My mother uses the water in the village river
to slowly cook the harvest from the field
which nourishes my heart
The life shuttles between
French toast and Chinese millet porridge
Over there, it scorches the body
Over here, it warms the heart
