叶落秋庭景物伤，斜风带雨送冬凉。
浮生寂寂悲寒夜，逆旅匆匆怨薄霜。
作茧丝缠囚自己，燃灯蜡尽费幽光。
空堂日日凄清景，只对丹青慕艳妆。
First Rain in Monterey Winter

Gloomy's the yard covered with fallen leaves
Winter's coldness comes with winds wet with rains
Lonely souls dread most the lenthy cold nights
A quick-paced life about thin frosts complains
A cocoon imprisons the silkworm tight
Burnt out candles waste their flickering light
The empty house is a daily sad thing
Only the beauty's worshipped in painting
