Chantelle Huang,Society Director of HIYA——Local artist, Water Poon, spares his efforts in supporting local charities
Earlier, the Hong Kong International Youth Artists Society held an art exhibition called Memory of Touch, where various local artists created works related to their spirituality, memories, or original intentions, touching many visitors who came to appreciate them. The exhibition also featured some special collections, including two works by the famous photographer and painter Mr. Water Poon - "The World of Infinite Loveand Compassion" and "Compassion, Joy, Giving, and Discipline," both centering on Buddhist philosophy, infinite love, and color selection mainly using simple black, white, and gray

Mr. Poon's works have been exhibited and collected by museums around the world, including the MITMuseum of Fine Arts in Boston and the Macao Museum of Art, and his achievements in painting areremarkable. Prior to the exhibition, when Mr. Poon learned of the exhibition, he immediately arranged for Dr. Wong Tin Chi to lend the art piece "Compassion, Joy, Giving, and Discipline" for the exhibition, actively supporting local artists and promoting social attention to them. The Society would like to thank Dr. Wong for providing the collection generously。

This month, Mr. Poon also has a personal exhibition entitled "101 Bowls" in Central, which includes hishand-painted ceramic bowls and paintings, such as incorporating the Chinese 24 solar terms into 24 bowls, unique and embodying traditional Chinese wisdom. The exhibition once again highlights Mr. Poon'skindness and concern for society, and some of the works will be sold for charity, with the funds donated tothe local charity organization, " Caring For Children Foundation," to bring benefits to children and those inneed with a heart of compassion. It is meaningful for artists to use their personal talents to help othersthrough art exhibitions and their unique works for charity. Buyers can also contribute and together, assist vulnerable communities in society, adding another level of significance to the art.
