ABAB CDCD EFEF GG
Eternal Orbits of Longing
When dusk cracks heaven’s porcelain-glazed dome,
Your lashes shower galaxies that sear my frame.
These lips, like vines on lonely islands grown,
Engrave love’s runes with every breath aflame.
Should heartbeats pave a causeway to the moon,
And locks pull tides as ropes through oceans cast,
Might seconds melt to golden ribbons soon—
Two drifting shores by fevered touch held fast?
Fear not when time plucks roses from their prime,
Our kiss in star-core carved shall never fade.
Though flesh may yield to frost and hoary rime,
Orbits of longing burn through endless shade.
All voyages are pilgrimages true,
Where veins vibrate with vital verse—dawn’s first glance at you.
The Voice of Love
Like rocket’s roar,
It ignites dreams across time and space.
As birds sing on summer-autumn boughs,
Melodious and clear,
Unbidden, I welcome
The radiant visitor from dreams.
Nervousness and unrest
Shatter all silence—
Bells, ocean waves, leaping fish, cicadas’ chant
Weave a harmonious rhyme,
Reviving vigor.
Tenderness compels hands to clasp,
The voice of love,
Soft and warm,
Sweeps with the wind over every inch of the horizon:
Mountains, deserts, rivers, forests—
Symphonies or lullabies?
I cannot tell.
It rises with dawn’s golden light,
More resonant than celestial sound.
Brewing Poetry in the Pot to Share with You
On the ridge, the wind whispers low,
Clouds sway with rosy afterglow.
You and I sit still as two mountains tall,
Letting seasonal winds brush our clothes, heedless of all.
Tea fragrance curls and drifts so light,
Lifting half a stanza, transparent and bright.
Stars and moon float and sink within the pot,
Like the silent exchange of glances we’ve got.
Pleasant sounds condense as dew on leaf tips,
Then ride the gull’s wing, slapping waves before the ships.
Don’t mention the distant thunderstorm passed,
Sorrow is but the dregs of yesterday’s tea at last.
Should life veer off its destined track,
Believe in love, never hold back.
I’d take a rib to paddle as an oar,
Scooping starlight from the uncertain river’s roar.
When flames curl into ashes, spent and thin,
Greatness and smallness, where do they begin?
They’re but water stains on the pot’s inner wall,
How can they match the warmth held in your palm at all?
To give life a measure, fair and right,
We must rely on the Creator’s might.
I kneel to plead my love to you,
Snowflakes dance as partners true.
Even the proud sun lowers its head,
Offering the creek’s music instead.
Ah, the tea in the pot grows thick and deep,
We sip the profound silence we both keep.
The wind hides answers in the wheat’s golden sea,
Then turns to roses, whispering mystery.
Yet the setting sun writes on your lashes, clear,
Transparent verses for the eye and ear.
