Robot
Miniature
By Ken Fan
Three years away in the city,
Never saw dad and ma.
Only a small rental,
District B, building 3, unit 219.
With a mattress and a laptop,
Hardly a home of any kind.
Wherever I work,
The same door card.
No name and photo,
Just in numbers I hide.
Quite a few web names,
Yet no friends:
Skyflyer, Blueface,
And ThornyRose and SexyEva...
Eventually
I'd like to wed a robot.
With a keyboard being the only pal,
Thoroughly digitized.
Me and a machine,
Can't tell one from the other apart.
Bright days and nights are alike.
Care less about those big talks and cries.
Wandering back and forth,
Existence is merely a digital bite.
You're a tiny miniature,
I'm a tiny miniature.
Millions of us together,
Everywhere we are.
