Tune: Set the Wave
Whale Watching on An Atlantic Cruise
By REN Chenggang (China)
Bilingual recited by Mary (HK, China)
I remember going south of Boston with my roommate, friend Huang to boat out into the Atlantic Ocean at CAPE COD for whale watching. The scene is still fresh in mind, fill this lyric for memorial.
Fear not the terrifying waves crashing,
Ship's cruising on the Atlantic Ocean.
From Cape Cod sailing and hurtling away,
Set off, okay
Ride the waves and wings, go whale-watching aye!
Do dive and jump several black whales brave,
Conquer wave,
In beauty as dragons in water vie.
Remember the event on beach they die* ,
What disease?
In marine science the puzzles increase.
Note:
* I have read from newspapers and magazines that there is a mass suicide of whales. The accompanying photographs clearly show dozens of whales together on the beach, silently bidding farewell to the ocean, and the sight is breathtaking.
