About poems are hard for explanation,
Not to say the hardship in creation.
While thinking a right word for the right sense,
A poet may tweak off some whiskers hence.
Verse searching could even make vexed the sky,
And frantic thinking causes the sea to dry.
Versing is not facile as writing prose,
Function words for it easier to be chosen.

I often sigh that poets suffer pain:
In order to search a word that is right,
They keep thinking hard for a desired gain,
But always could not sleep better at night.
诗人1简介：
卢延让（902年前后在世），字子善，范阳人。天才卓绝，为诗师薛能，词意入僻，不竞纤巧，且多健语。著有诗集一卷，《唐才子传》传于世。卢考二十五次进士不中，自觉名声不响，于是写了猫儿狗子的诗，如“狐冲官道过，狗触店门开”，“饿猫临鼠穴，馋犬舐鱼帖”，……。虽为人所嗤，得名“动物诗人”，却获知名人士赞赏，名字叫响，遂中进士。其《苦吟》两句“吟安一个字，拈断数茎须”，却成响名千古，流传至今。
诗人2简介：
韦光延，网名德者恒得，广西桂林人。毕业于广西师范大学汉语言文学专业，爱好文学、诗词鉴赏与书法，热衷于古人类石器收藏和文化遗产的传播展览。曾在学校、政府部门和企事业单位供职，广西民俗摄影协会会员，发表诗歌散文和新闻报道多篇。现从事旅游工作，二级研学旅行指导师。目前已整理多篇诗作归入《不见•相见》诗集拟出版。
诗译者简介：
吴伟雄，广东新会人，英语译审。2011年中国译协授予“资深翻译家”荣誉证书。在《中国翻译》，《中国科技翻译》和《上海翻译》发文16篇，出版编著5本。2005年在中国译协和桂林市人民政府合办的“桂林山水甲天下”名句国际译文征集活动中获连珠三奖：优秀奖（第一名），入围奖和鼓励奖。
Mr. WU Weixiong，native of Xinhui, Guangdong, China, is a Prof. of Translation (English). He was member of the 4th and 5th Councils of the TAC (1998-2009), and awarded the TAC Certificate of Honor of Senior Translator in 2011. He has published 16 papers in three core journals for translation in China and 6 books on translation. He won three awards, EXCELLENT（first place）, MERIT and ACHIEVEMENT, in the international CALL FOR TRANSLATIONS OF THE NOTED SAYING “桂林山水甲天下”organized by Guilin Municipal Government and the TAC in 2005.
