Dear Friends,

Like you, I have recently seen and heard a lot of things about Wuhan these days, and I have not been able to think of what I can do. A friend of mine wanted to return to China recently but the company cancelled flight reservations. After careful examination of the situation, I have decided that I would return to China on June 1st for the special reason. I will, if possible, go to Wuhan (without wearing a mask) and attempt to meet both patients and those who are not sick. When I arrive in Wuhan, I want to meet ordinary Wuhaners and reassure them we are thinking of them. I want to offer them a warm hug on behalf of the caring Scottish people, the enthusiastic English people, the hard-working Guangdong people, the honest Shaanxi people, the kind Gansu and Hunan people.
